The quality of your brief determines the accuracy of your quote and the accuracy of your first 3D mockup. A complete brief helps the project team confirm pricing direction, feasibility and the right mockup path faster.

Professional project brief preparation | InflatCustom Blog

When sourcing a custom inflatable, the technical specifications you provide in the first message can save days of back-and-forth communication. Manufacturers need to understand not just the "look" of the product, but the technical environment where it will be used.

Essential Briefing Components

Ensure your brief includes: (1) Vector artwork files for logos, (2) Accurate target height/width, (3) Preferred material (Oxford vs PVC), (4) Delivery destination and required event date, and (5) Intended application (indoor exhibition vs outdoor festival).

Frequently Asked Questions

What file formats should I send to an inflatable manufacturer?

Vector files are strongly preferred: Adobe Illustrator (.AI), Encapsulated PostScript (.EPS), or high-resolution PDF. These can be scaled to any size without quality loss. JPEG and PNG files are accepted as visual references but require manual vectorisation before printing.

What dimensions should I specify when ordering?

Specify the overall height as a minimum. For 3D products, provide height, width, and depth. Inner dimensions of arches and tunnels (the clear opening) are more important than outer dimensions — specify inner clearance required.

Do I need to know my exact budget before requesting a quote?

No. Providing a budget range is helpful to avoid options significantly above what you can spend, but it is not required. If a quote exceeds your budget, we will discuss material alternatives or size reductions.

Can I brief with just a sketch or description?

Yes, sketches and written descriptions are a valid starting point. Our design team will interpret your brief and produce a 3D mockup, which you then review and revise.
