Custom Inflatable Entrance Tunnel for a US Regional Marathon

A regional marathon organizer in the United States needed a branded entrance tunnel for both their start and finish lines, replacing a smaller previous-generation tunnel that had become visually outdated and was sized too narrow for the event's growing participant numbers. The organizer specifically requested clear guidance on inner vs outer dimension measurement, having experienced sizing confusion with a prior supplier on an earlier order.

Our team worked directly with the organizer to confirm inner clear width and height requirements based on their expected runner flow at peak congestion points (start line, multiple runners abreast), then engineered the outer structural footprint accordingly. A 3D mockup incorporating the event's title sponsor and three secondary sponsor logos was produced and approved within 48 hours, with one revision to adjust secondary sponsor logo placement for better visibility from the official event photography position.

The tunnel was constructed from 0.5mm PVC tarpaulin for outdoor durability across multiple uses, with reinforced ground anchor points at six locations along the structure and a full guy-wire stabilization kit included given the event's typically exposed open-road location. Two matched continuous-airflow blowers were sized to the tunnel's internal volume for stable structural performance throughout the multi-hour race event.

The tunnel shipped via DDP air freight with sufficient lead time for the organizer's event production team to conduct a full setup rehearsal one week before race day. On race morning, full anchoring and inflation setup was completed by a four-person crew in approximately 25 minutes, well within the organizer's pre-event setup window.
